18ct Yellow Gold & Silver Victorian Diamond Bar Brooch Circa 1900

A beautiful 18 Carat Yellow Gold & Silver (tested), Victorian, Old European & Cushion Cut Diamond Bar Brooch. A central Cushion Cut Diamond of approximately 0.30 Carats (un-weighed), with fourteen smaller Old European Cut Diamonds of approximately 0.035 carats each,  Total Diamond weight approximately 0.79 Carats (as assessed in their mounts and un-weighed)

Crafted towards the end of the Victorian period, this piece highlights the classic transition where silver was traditionally mounted over gold to enhance the brilliant white fire of antique diamonds. 

It is a lovely example to consider if you are seeking a subtle yet distinctive signature piece for a lapel or scarf.
