A very fine 15 Carat (tested) Yellow Gold double sided & engraved oval locket, one side with a Quatrefoil central Star design surrounded by an oval "Greek Key" relief which is edged with interwoven ribbons, the other side with a Diamond shaped centre to the Quatrefoil with foliate scrolls towards and around the edge. The interior of this beautiful locket has one glass reticule section with Gold retainer and the other side has a photograph with a Gold retainer. The unmarked articulated "jump ring" is included in the measurements provided. A particularly nice find in that not all Victorian lockets were engraved on both sides (hand engraving of this quality would prove expensive to achieve).
