A very fine Natural Untreated Siam Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring set in 18ct White Gold, Circa 1970

This extraordinary and stylish oval Ruby and Diamond Cluster ring is centrally "Raised Claw Set" with an Oval Natural Untreated Siamese Ruby which has been assessed 1.71 Carats (weighed), with no indication of thermal enhancement and of "Siam" in origin. This beautiful lustrous natural Ruby is surrounded by 24 "Claw Set" Diamonds of which fourteen are "Round Brilliant Cut" Diamonds and ten are "Trapezoid Cut" Diamonds. The total Diamonds as assessed (unweighed) is approximately 1.45 carats. The Diamonds are all very well matched and are of "Good Commercial Colour and Clarity". The "Round Brilliant Cut" Diamonds are set to the left and right of the Ruby (over two tiers) and the "Tapered Baguette Cut" Diamonds are set to each end of the oval shaped cluster in a graduating fan shaped" design. This beautiful ring has been finely constructed in an 18 Carat White Gold "Ballerina style setting".
Accompanied by an Independent Gemologists report confirming the Ruby's assessment.
It should be noted that untreated rubies are scarce.
