An extraordinary example of an "Art Deco" Sapphire, Diamond & Platinum Ring, Circa 1920-1930.
A very beautiful Platinum (tested - French import marks), Natural untreated Sapphire and Diamond Marquise Shaped Cluster Ring. Centrally "Claw Set" with an "Oval" Untreated "Ceylon" Natural Blue Sapphire, estimated in the mount as weighing approximately 2.00 Carats, surrounded by a gallery with two "Rub-over Set" large "Transition Cut" Diamonds of approximately 1.05 Carats (total), G - H Colour, SI Clarity and sixteen "Rub-over Set" "Old Round Cut" Diamonds of 1.07 Carats approximately, G - H Colour & SI Clarity (18 in total). Eight of these Diamonds are set into the shoulders and the remaining number to the gallery. The Diamond settings are all beautifully Millegrain edged and the ring is supported by a fine Platinum shank.
It should be noted that untreated Sapphires are rare.
This beautiful ring is is accompanied by two independent Gemmologist's reports confirming the above assessment.
Currently sized to L (American equivalent 5.75).
